EG Academy

EG Academy is a vehicle for UK-based solar and BESS education, training and careers. Founded by Elements Green, a leading UK-based solar developer and Independent Power Producer, EG Academy equips people of all ages with the skills and knowledge needed to drive the transition to renewable energy, creating pathways to sustainable careers from school through to university and professional development.

Free CPD accredited courses
EG Academy offers free, CPD accredited courses across three areas: Greenfield Development, covering the development process, land origination and acquisition, and ecology's role in development (delivered in partnership with the RSPB); Design and Engineering, covering solar PV and BESS design; and Corporate Services, covering supply chain management and ESG and regulatory frameworks. Each course takes around an hour, including an interactive lesson and a short assessment.

University partnerships
EG Academy officially launched in May 2025 at Nottingham Trent University's Clifton Campus, engaging undergraduates with renewable energy career prospects and internship opportunities. Elements Green has also delivered guest lectures at NTU on topics including energy economics.

Secondary and primary school engagement
Elements Green plans to extend EG Academy's reach to secondary and primary school pupils, with activity days and learning experiences delivered in partnership with our biodiversity partners.
